This 1800s heirloom is a natural source of sugar! Large white, tapered root up to 1’ long can weigh from 3-5 pounds. Frost tolerant. Beet tops (1-2' tall) can be eaten or fed to animals. Largely regarded as one of the best "sustainable" crops.
